My current position is Professor of Applied Mathematics.
I received my Ph.D. from the Universitat de Barcelona in Mathematics, 1983, under the supervision of Carles Simó, and I have been the thesis advisor of 8 Ph.D. students.
My papers (and preprints or e-prints) deal with Dynamical systems:
Effective stability of Hamiltonian and reversible systems,
whiskered tori, hyperbolic invariant objects,
splitting of separatrices, Arnold diffusion.
I am also a member of the
DANCE network,
which gathers a quite large number of Spanish researchers in Dynamical Systems,
and of the huge i-MATHCONSOLIDER research project
for Spanish mathematics.
